LC Uniboot and Short Boot Fiber Patch Cord
Duplex LC Patch Cords with a Uniboot or a Shorter Boot for High-Density Panels and Switches
EXW builds two LC patch cord styles for high-density patch panels and switch ports. An LC uniboot cord carries both fibers of a duplex link in one round cable and brings them out to a duplex LC connector under a single boot, so each cord is one cable and one boot instead of two legs. A short-boot LC cord uses the standard LC connector with a shorter strain-relief boot, so each cord takes up less depth in front of the patch panel or switch. Both are available in single-mode or multimode, with UPC or APC polish, and every cord is factory-terminated and tested before shipment.
Specifications
- LC uniboot: both fibers of a duplex link in one round cable, under one boot.
- LC short boot: standard LC connector with a shorter strain-relief boot, simplex or duplex.
- Other end: the same LC style, or another connector specified at order.
- Fiber types: single-mode G.657.A1 / A2; multimode OM1 / OM2, OM3, OM4 and OM5.
- Polish: UPC, UPC Low Loss or APC for single-mode; UPC or UPC Low Loss for multimode.
- Cable jacket: LSFRZH or PVC. Other jacket types available on request.

Mechanical Characteristics
- High-density patch panels, fiber cassettes and switch ports in data center main, horizontal and equipment distribution areas, and shallow cabinets or wall-mount enclosures where the space between the ports and the door or cable manager is limited.
