Cat8 field termination plug is designed to be applied under 30 meter channel test for data center links. The Cat8 connector allows you to transport data up to 2.5 times faster for switch-to-server connections in data centers. The RJ45 Cat8 field termination plug supports 25GBASE-T for short distances up to 30 meters. The Cat8 tool-free plug meets PoE++ (also known as 4PPoE and IEEE802.3bt Type 4) and provides excellent network cabling performance. IP20 Cat8 Field Termination Plug With Screw-Fit Plug Boot
The long snagless clip for easy and fast installation in a high density cabinet gives the RJ45 Cat8 field termination plug a decent touch when plugged in and out. The Screw-Fit plug boot is compatible with 22 AWG to 24 AWG cables with outer diameter of 7.0 mm to 8.5 mm. The UL 94V-0 Cat8 connector with the T568A and T568B color coded wiring labels has a dust cover that provides protection under IP20 level. A copper foil tape for electromagnetic shielding and an IP20 dust cover are included as parts of the full shielded RJ45 Cat8 field termination plug.
Cat8 Tool-Free Plug With Category 8 Class I Channel Performance
Cat8 RJ45 field termination connector meets Channel performance. For data center cabling design, a 25GBASE-T RJ45 copper cabling is a lower cost and optimal alternative to a fiber optic cabling with links in less than 30 meters. The Cat8 tool-free plug, an advancement of its predecessor Category 7, is also a great substitute for a Category 7 connector that is not an IEEE standard and is not approved by TIA/EIA. Category 7 does not use a traditional RJ45 interface, meanwhile Cat8 field termination plug makes network migration easier because it uses RJ45, the universal connector type that is the common and global standard for servers and switches.
Cat.8 RJ45 Plug With 25GBASE-T Performance
Cat8 connector supports 25GBASE-T applications for short distance transmission up to 30 meters. It is a next generation connecting hardware best designed to be used in modern cloud data center infrastructures because links of 30 meters or less make up 80% of the connections in data centers, according to IEEE. 25GBASE-T provides 2.5 times more gigabits Ethernet over twisted pairs than 10GBASE-T. The 25 gigabits over ethernet is an IEEE standard. It is backward compatible with existing 10Gbase-T systems. It is also forward compatible with 40Gbase-T (autonegotiation).
