Category 8 RJ45 Solutions for Next-Generation Data Center Networks

EXW's Cat8 structured cabling delivers 40 Gbps performance for data centers requiring future-ready, high-speed network infrastructure within 30-meter channels.

Cat 8 High Data Transmission

Category 8 Solutions for Future Networks

Category 8 RJ45 solutions are designed to support Ethernet at rate up to 40 Gbps (40GBASE-T) for short distances up to 30 meters, which is a solution primarily for data centers and businesses where data transfer speeds can impact operational efficiency. Cat8 offers the best-in-class performance. The copper cabling solution is less costly for installation in terms of its power usage and electronics costs. We do expect that in the future, the Cat8 solution becomes widely used, switches and server connections supporting it will be much less expensive than fiber optics solutions. Besides, the 40GBASE-T standard support autonegation, which provides convenience for data center users.

Cat8 Copper Cabling Solutions

Category 8 cabling has now been integrated into the main 568.2-D standard. Developed to support 40GBASE-T applications developed by the IEEE, Category 8 has a maximum channel length of 30 meters with 2 connectors and is tested from 1 MHz to 2,000 MHz. This is a big change from Category 6A, which supported a 4-connector, 100-meter channel and was tested to only 500 MHz. So, we have more than 30 Fluke DSX-8000 testers for testing our patch cables. We have the ability to do a 100% channel test before shipping your goods. Our cables are international standard, supporting autonegation and providing convenience for data center users.

Can Our Products Match With Your Cat8 Channel?

Yes, we provide Cat8 keystone jack and toolless plug to match with your Cat8 channel test. So far we tested our Cat8 keystone jack and field termination plug with Category 8 cable with Fluke DSX-8000 based on ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Channel test.

Our Category 8 RJ45 solutions are designed to support Ethernet data transfer rate up to 40 Gbps (40GBASE-T) for short distances up to 30 meters. A solution that is designed to support Ethernet data transfer rate up to 40 Gbps (40GBASE-T) for short distances up to 30 meters. It is developed by IEEE. Category 8 has a maximum channel length of 30 meters with 2 connectors and is tested from 1 MHz to 2,000 MHz (2 GHz).

Cat8 Patch Cable Is Short but Mighty.

Cat8 channels are optimized for short distances, primarily up to 30 meters. This might seem limited, but within data center environments, it's more than ample to connect high-speed servers and switches efficiently.

Cat8 Is Backward Compatible With Lower Categories.

While Cat 8 is undoubtedly the future, it's designed to be backward compatible with its predecessors (Cat 6A, Cat 6, and Cat 5e). This ensures a smoother transition for businesses upgrading their infrastructure.

Should You Invest in Cat8 Keystone Jacks and Cat8 Patch Cables?

Investing in Category 8 ensures your infrastructure is ready for future advancements in networking technology. In data centers, where seamless, high-speed data transmission is critical, employing a Cat8 copper solution offers numerous advantages. First and foremost, Cat8 supports bandwidths of up to 2 GHz (2000 MHz) and delivers astounding data rates of 40Gbps, ensuring that data centers can handle the increasing demands of modern networking applications without bottlenecking. Additionally, its enhanced shielding techniques reduce interference and noise, guaranteeing more consistent and reliable data transfer. Being a copper solution, Cat8 also presents a more cost-effective alternative to fiber optics, while still delivering comparable performance for short-distance PoE or 4PPoE connections prevalent in data centers. Furthermore, the robustness and durability of Cat 8 cabling mean reduced maintenance requirements and longer lifespans, making it an economically sound choice in the long run.
