Low Crosstalk Cat6A Solution With 6 Around 1 Test

Measuring Alien Crosstalk With 6-Around-1 Test

We measure the PS ANEXT and PS AACR-F values of our Cat6A U/UTP solution using the Fluke DSX CableAnalyzer to assess alien crosstalk (AXT), which can degrade overall channel performance. The 6 around 1 test simulates real-world dense environments, such as data centers, providing a comprehensive assessment of cable performance. By using staggered blank panels and ETL verified keystone jacks, we significantly reduce crosstalk and support high-power applications in high-density environments.

Why Is 6-Around-1 Test Important?

The 6 around 1 test is crucial as it simulates high-density cabling environments like data centers and server rooms, where alien crosstalk (AXT) is more likely to happen. Moreover, the interference between wire pairs is the most intense in alien crosstalk (AXT) interference scenarios. Therefore, assuring Cat6A cables performance through 6 around 1 test is a great way to show the reliable and high-speed data transmission of the cables.

What is the Cat6A 6-Around-1 Test?

The 6 around 1 cable test measures the margin and value of PS ANEXT (Power sum alien near-end crosstalk) and PS AACR-F (Power sum attenuation to alien crosstalk ratio, far-end) in a configuration where one disturbed cable (victim) is surrounded by six disturber cables in a parallel formation. Alien Crosstalk (AXT) occurs when the signals of a cable get interfered with from adjacent cables, especially in high-speed networks like Cat6A 10G Base-T. Without the protection of shielding and foil, Cat6A U/UTP cables are given the susceptibility of cables to AXT, especially in tightly packed bundles. The 6 around 1 test is a crucial procedure to ensure that Cat6A U/UTP cables maintain stable transmission performance.

The 4-Connector Channel in the 6-Around-1 Test

According to ANSI/TIA-568.2-D, the Cat6A 6 around 1 test is a rigorous 4-connector channel assessment. As the number of connectors increases, the performance demands on cables, keystone jacks, panels, and their compatibility grow significantly. We provide comprehensive Cat6A U/UTP and S/FTP solutions, satisfying your various channel needs. In our Cat6A channel setup, we used ETL verified keystone jacks and patch panels designed to accommodate both Cat6A UTP and STP keystone jacks. Also, cable organizer was utilized to neatly manage the solid cables, and the channel was completed with patch cords to ensure a fully functional network.

The Test Report of the 6-Around-1 Test

We use Fluke DSX-8000 or DSX-5000 testers to evaluate our complete Cat6A channel products, including solid cable (3K6AUTBL01), staggered blank panel (3J01-C02-00058), ETL verified Cat.6A patch panel (3J01-C01-00058), and ETL verified keystone jack (3J01-A01-00175). The test report shows worst values and margins for each twisted pair, confirming compliance with PSANEXT and PSAACRF loss regulations of ANSI/TIA 568.2-D. PSANEXT loss takes into account the combined alien crosstalk (statistical) on a receive pair from all external near-end disturbers operating simultaneously. PSAACRF is the calculated power sum from all external pairs into the disturbed pair. The channel test assessed alien crosstalk and power sum losses, demonstrating the quality of our Cat6A UTP cabling.

Cat6A Cabling Products for Reducing Crosstalk in the 6-Around-1 Test

Our Cat6A U/UTP cable (3K6AUTBL01) is specifically designed with serrated cable jacket, cross filler(separator), and varying twist densities to handle the challenges posed by AXT. Our staggered blank panel (3J01-C02-00058) features a staggered design, significantly reducing crosstalk. Our keystone jack (3J01-A01-00175) and Cat.6A patch panel (3J01-C01-00058) are certified as ANSI/TIA 568.2-D connecting hardware by ETL, passing the stringent 4-point link tests. Additionally, our cable organizer (3O10Y01-00003) creates necessary space to further mitigate crosstalk, ensuring optimal performance in high-density installations.
